However, for a certain local Wendy’s Restaurant in Mount Pleasant, that was not the case. In this particular case, there was a driver who suffered some sort of medical emergency which caused her to crash her vehicle into the side of the Wendy’s on Johnnie Dodds Boulevard.
A 33-year-old resident appeared to have an experienced medication condition such as epilepsy, which led her to press her foot on the gas pedal and accelerate through the parking space and straight into the Wendy’s establishment.
An emergency crew was immediately notified and the police were on the scene in a matter of minutes.
The 33-year-old female was transported by the EMS to the closest local hospital to treat both her medical condition, and the injuries she sustained in the midst of the accident.
The building did not suffer to terribly, but the windows had to be boarded up while the restaurant was re-opened to the public. The windows will have to be replaced, yet it is still unclear on whether the woman will be paying for that or not.
